The recent training work is very encouraging—notably consistent 800m–400m splits and sharp 200m finishes (around 11.5–12.1 sec), which point to race readiness. Won on debut last season beating Crescent over 990m then 2nd behind Havana Moon. Ran below expectations on its 3rd outing. Seems to have improved massively during the break. Drawn 2. Summer Snow recorded three wins from five outings last season and produced an outstanding performance when narrowly beaten by Crescent last time out, finishing well clear of the remainder by over nine lengths. Holds the top CFG and Speed Ratings and stands out as the runner to beat.

Cumbre Vieja looks set to preserve his unbeaten record at the Champ de Mars and appears well placed to do so against this opposition. He impressed last time out when defeating the island’s top sprinter-milers over 1400m. His Start Index points to a likely lead, which would make him even tougher to challenge. Clearly the class act of the field and poised to deliver another commanding performance.
