SPOTTED ANALYSIS
RACE 1 #2 MY ARCHANGEL
Produced a highly creditable performance when stepping sharply up in trip from 1365m to 1600m last time, only surrendering second place in the closing stages to Canford Club. That effort suggested he stayed the mile well despite the significant rise in distance. Drops back slightly to a more suitable 1500m here and appears ideally placed tactically. Speed Maps indicate he is the sole natural front-runner in the field, while gate 2 should allow him to secure an uncontested lead with minimal early effort. His recent preparation has been patient and purposeful, suggesting this assignment has been a target. With every factor seemingly in his favour, he is likely to dictate the pace from the outset. The horse they all have to catch and one that could prove very difficult to reel in.
RACE 2 # 4 LAVA COUNTY
Won in convincing fashion over 1450m last time, once again showcasing the powerful finishing burst that has become his trademark. His closing sectionals have been particularly impressive, recording approximately 56.50s for the final 1000m in each of his last two starts, underlining the strength of his acceleration in the latter stages. Although he is generally a slow beginner, the small five-horse field should ensure he is not left with an impossible task turning for home. The step up to 1650m should suit him even better, giving him more time to settle before unleashing his trademark late finish. He rates as the best finisher in today's field, and if within striking distance entering the straight, his devastating turn of foot could prove decisive. Possesses all the attributes required to lower the colours of the hot favourite.
RACE 5 #2 SUMMER SNOW
Produced a dominant performance last time, outclassing his rivals to score by more than four lengths. The switch to M. Nunes proved highly effective, with the gelding settling much better throughout before asserting his superiority in effortless fashion. Speed Maps suggest he should secure an uncontested lead once again, allowing him to dictate the race under ideal conditions. His credentials are further strengthened by topping the field on CFG Rating, Speed Rating and Time Factor, confirming his superiority on both form and figures. Everything points towards another commanding performance, and another victory is expected.
